We strive to give all patients the best experience possible as well as high quality dental care. To help things run smoothly we ask that patients:

• Attend appointments on time.
• Give us 24 hours notice if you cannot keep an appointment so we can offer it to someone else
• Understand we will not tolerate violent or abusive behaviour and anyone who behaves in this manner will be asked to leave the practice.

You have the right to request a written treatment plan – just ask your dentist.

Having Your Say

We welcome feedback whether it’s a suggestion, compliment or complaint. Get in touch by post, in person, over the phone or through our website.

To ensure any problems are dealt with promptly and we can learn from them we operate a complaints procedure. To get more information on this read the section on the website or speak to reception.

If you would like to get actively involved in the way we run the practice please join our patient group. Details are available from any of our team.

Confidentiality

The practice complies with Data Protection and Access to Medical Records legislation. Identifiable information about you will be shared with others in the following circumstances:

• To provide further medical treatment for you e.g. from hospital services.
• To help you get other services e.g. from the health service. This requires your consent.
• When we have a duty to others e.g. in child protection cases anonymised patient information will also be used at local and national level to help the Health Board and Government plan services e.g. for diabetic care.

If you do not wish anonymous information about you to be used in such a way, please let us know.

Reception and administration staff require access to your dental records in order to do their jobs. These members of staff are bound by the same rules of confidentiality as the dental staff.
